Learning to Meet Yourself with More Care — One Step at a Time Online Psychotherapy for Individuals & Couples throughout California |
Many people spend years trying to appear strong, capable, and composed on the outside while quietly holding self-doubt, loneliness, or the pressure to get everything just right. Over time, that effort can become exhausting.
Therapy is a place to slow down and be real.
A place to understand what has been carried quietly for a long time.
A place to relate to yourself with more care instead of constant self-criticism.
I provide secure online psychotherapy for individuals and couples throughout California, with a focus on West Hollywood and the greater Los Angeles area.
You may be seeking therapy because:
If you recognize yourself in any of these, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to keep carrying it alone.
Therapy offers a steady, grounded relationship where it becomes possible to meet difficult experiences with more compassion, clarity, and choice.
This isn’t about being fixed. It’s about becoming more at ease in your own inner world.

Taming Your Inner Critic |
MEETING YOUR BEST FRIEND
Learning to treat ourselves as we would a best friend brings compassion, instead of criticism. The relationship we developed with ourselves over the course of many years, requires deep reflection alongside someone we trust.
Contemplation of what has led us to our present circumstances gives the freedom to make informed choices. This leads us to love, connection and the pure enjoyment of life.

Key Points:
- Purpose of Feelings: Feelings are internal GPS systems that guide us through our lives and our environments, letting us know what is working and what is not in our goal to survive and thrive based on our needs.
- Emotional Resilience: If we honor our feelings, we can be more resilient to life's roller coasters because we can have a relationship with our feelings as allies to our day, noting that our feelings alert us to the fact that something needs to be done or attended to.
- Pleasure and Pain: Feelings let us know when we are in pleasure and in pain, ideally motivating us to keep moving towards pleasure and away from pain as a path to a content life.
- Risk of Fallout: If we suppress our feelings, we may be at risk of depression, anxiety, and unhappiness, as we're missing out on our best path towards survival and thriving.
- Tips and Tricks: I encourage others to remember their feelings throughout the day, checking in with themselves without judgment, practicing self-compassion and attending to feelings in an appropriate way, getting plenty of support, creating a safe internal environment, and practicing mindfulness throughout the day to stay aware.

LGBTQ Affirmative Psychotherapy
|
The LGBTQ+ community is a diverse group of individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and other identities that fall outside of the traditional heterosexual and cisgender norms. Unfortunately, this community continues to face significant discrimination, stigma, and marginalization, which leads to various health disparities, including mental health issues.
As an LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist, I believe that it's essential to recognize the unique strengths, challenges and experiences that LGBTQ+ individuals face and provide affirmative psychotherapy that is sensitive to their needs. Affirmative psychotherapy creates a safe space for individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors without fear of judgment or discrimination.
LGBTQ+ clients deserve a therapist that isn't just "friendly" but truly knowledgable enough to address what's going on with them, without overemphasizing or ignoring/minimizing their sexual identity or gender identity/expressions.

In addition, I focus on addressing minority stress, which is the chronic stress experienced by marginalized groups, including LGBTQ+ individuals, couples and families. Addressing minority stress in therapy can help individuals to develop coping mechanisms and strategies to deal with the stressors they face. I also believe in focusing on the strengths and resilience of my clients in therapy. This approach helps to build self-esteem and promote a positive self-image, which can be particularly beneficial for LGBTQ+ individuals who have faced significant challenges in their lives.
