It can sometimes be difficult to know if we’re in the honeymoon phase of a new exciting relationship or being “love bombed”. Love bombing is when someone is saying and doing things we’ve always wanted but somehow it seems disingenuous or lacks the depth of experience it would take to get there. When we recognize this, we can slow down, set boundaries and collect more data to determine if it’s actually real over time. Love bombing is when someone performs what love looks/sounds like to lock down a relationship. Love bombing is when someone very quickly and repetitively does and says all the things you've ever wanted. Love bombing doesn't last because it's used manipulatively to make fans, not friends or partners. Examples of Love Bombing:
