Missing Out on Expressing Ourselves Fully
When relationships end we often look back with regret about not expressing ourselves fully.
We may not have been given the opportunity to say what we needed to or we may have limited ourselves.
Being able to acknowledge these things to ourselves, let’s us create better internal resolution.
Sometimes we don't express ourselves fully because we want to avoid rejection, conflict, and hurting someone else.
Examples of things we wish we could have said:
"You made me believe I was dispensable."
"You never gave me a chance for closure."
"Letting you go was painful AND good for me."
"I don't regret us ending but I miss you."
