Thoughts are Just Thoughts
You are NOT what you think!
Actually, all of us have 1000’s of thoughts per day, some of them that repeat.
Instead of being disturbed by them, we can practice mindful awareness with curiosity instead of judgment.
When we give them less weight and practice focusing our attention on what really matters, we navigate them more easily.
Just because we think it, doesn't mean it's true or has any more significance than what we're attending to.
Our Response Matters
When we respond to thoughts with curiosity, instead of judgment, we're better able to attend to the ones that matter and let them go.
While we can't necessarily control what we think about, we can just label them as "thought" and take them less seriously.
Focusing Our Attention
With practice we can learn to focus our thoughts that are useful to us through mindfulness meditation.
